Kaliakavillai, July 25, 2022: Selvadas Promoth, Bishop of Bible Faith Mission is awarded with Ph. D degree from Sri. R. N. Ravi Tamil Nadu Governor and chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University. He is also an advocate.
A school dropout joined Concordia seminary at the age of 17. During his theological studies he realized the importance of education. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in distance mode.
His appearance on the law exam was an accident as he thought it would be the end of his civil studies.
He never thought to continue his studies but God opened a door to write University Grant Commission’s National Eligibility Test (NET) and got through Junior Research Fellowship and enrolled for Ph.D in School of Religions, Philosophy and Humanist Thought from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu.
He has a passion for education and always motivates others to educate as Education is the weapon for the marginalized. He crossed the barrier of money and age. He proved that circumstances never become an obstacle to success.
